With just 18 days before the graduation week, everyone is working extra hard!

This ceremony showcases the hard work and dedication of our students over the past months and showcases the vast Afro-Brazilian culture through, not only the captivating martial art of Capoeira, but through the traditional dance, music, stunning acrobatics, and story.

The event brings in hundreds of spectators, students, and mestres from United States, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Europe for this one-of-a-kind event. Each year, Maculelê Capoeira does his best to make the batizado a fun and exciting event for all participants.
