Hey there, fellow capoeira lovers! Want to help us spread the joy of Afro-Brazilian arts and culture while also building a stronger community? We are looking for sponsors or in kind donations of products our 2024 Spring Graduation event! Plus, your donation will go towards our mission of promoting and supporting capoeira.

Maculele-Capoeira’s next graduation event is coming up on the weekend of May 1-4. For this Decatur-based event we will engage in a variety of activities including: 

-Hosting hundreds of guests of all skill-levels, including world-famous capoeiristas
-Holding capoeira, music, and cultural art workshops and performances
-Graduating of students based in Georgia, New Orleans, and NC.
-Celebrating “Mestre Fran Day” (an officially recognized designation by the City of Decatur for his service to the community)

This is where you come in. As you can imagine, the logistics of hosting an event of this scale, and our expenses quickly mount: from theater rental, international fights of our esteemed-guests, food and hotel for all of our guests, etc. While recognized and celebrated all over the globe, our group does not rely on windfalls of financial support from large, corporate sponsors. We depend on the generous donations of our members, our communities, and local organizations.

The World Maculelê Arts Foundation is a 501-c3 organization, which means charitable donations to our group are tax deductible. Financial donations are not the only way to help, however; donations of coffee, fresh fruits, snack foods, breakfast foods (e.g. ham, cheese, bread, peanut butter, etc.), flowers, cupcakes for the kids, and even gift cards are always greatly appreciated! A little bit of help from you can go a long way for both of us.

Capoeira is a sport practiced by millions of people all over the world, and this May, the World Maculelê Arts Foundation is hosting an event of the highest calibre. The eyes of the Capoeira World will undoubtedly rest, on Atlanta during the days of the event, and with your participation, the attention of the Capoeira World could rest upon your business, as well.
