Makeup Class Policy
We understand that occasionally a student may need to miss a regularly scheduled class. Makeup classes are available for missed classes, subject to class availability. Makeup classes are available for regularly scheduled classes missed by the student and must be completed within the same calendar month as the missed class. Makeup classes must be scheduled in advance by contacting our team at decaturcapoeira@gmail.com and are subject to class availability. Makeup classes are not guaranteed and cannot be transferred to another student, carried over to a future month, or exchanged for a credit or refund. Makeup classes are not offered for holidays, scheduled studio closures, or classes canceled due to severe weather or other circumstances beyond our control. If you know your child will miss a class, please contact our team as soon as possible to arrange a makeup.
Class Calendar & Severe Weather
Capoeira Maculele Atlanta follows its published class calendar for holidays, breaks, and scheduled studio closures. In the event of severe weather or other circumstances that make it unsafe to hold classes, Capoeira Maculele Atlanta may cancel or modify classes. Families will be notified through email, text, or other official communication when applicable.
Class Cancellations
Capoeira Maculele Atlanta reserves the right to cancel, combine, or modify classes due to low enrollment, instructor availability, studio circumstances, or other unforeseen circumstances. When possible, enrolled families will be notified and offered an appropriate alternative.
Tuition & Membership Policy
Tuition is charged as a monthly membership and is not based on attendance or on the number of classes attended during the month. Monthly tuition reserves the student’s place in the program and covers enrollment in the selected class schedule. Not attending class does not automatically cancel or pause a membership. If a student stops attending classes, the monthly membership will continue until the membership is properly canceled according to our cancellation policy. Missed classes are non-refundable and do not result in a reduction, credit, or adjustment to monthly tuition. Membership payments are automatically charged according to the payment schedule established at registration. A $5 late fee may be applied to payments made after the due date.
Membership Cancellation / Discontinuance
To discontinue a membership, the parent or guardian must provide 30 days’ written notice by email to decaturcapoeira@gmail.com. Verbal notice to an instructor, director, or other staff member does not constitute a valid cancellation. Membership tuition will continue during the required 30-day notice period. Once the cancellation request has been received and the notice period has been completed, future membership charges will stop. Simply stopping attendance, not responding to messages, or allowing a student to stop attending does not cancel the membership. All tuition payments are non-refundable.
Health & Wellness
For the health and safety of our students, families, and instructors, please keep students home if they are actively sick, have a fever, are vomiting, or have symptoms that may be contagious. Students should return to class when they are feeling well and have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication. Please notify our team if your child has been diagnosed with a contagious illness that may affect other students or staff.
Lost & Found
Lost and found items will be kept for a limited period of time. Unclaimed items may be donated. We strongly recommend labeling uniforms, clothing, shoes, water bottles, and other personal belongings with the student’s name.
Safety & Participation
Capoeira is a physical activity that involves movement, exercise, music, acrobatics, partner activities, and physical contact. Students are expected to follow instructor directions and participate in a safe and respectful manner. Parents and guardians are responsible for informing Capoeira Maculele of any relevant physical limitations, injuries, or circumstances that may affect a student’s safe participation.
Communication
Official studio communication regarding schedule changes, closures, events, payments, and other important information may be sent by email, text message, or other communication methods provided by the family. Families are responsible for keeping their contact information current and reviewing communications from Capoeira Maculele.
Refund Policy
All tuition and membership payments are non-refundable. No refunds or credits are provided for missed classes, vacations, holidays, personal scheduling conflicts, or discontinuation of attendance. Exceptions, if any, must be approved in writing by Capoeira Maculele management.

By enrolling in Capoeira MaculelĂȘ, families acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to follow the studio’s policies and procedures. These policies are designed to provide a safe, consistent, and positive environment for all students and families.
